I ask this because I am working on a redesign. karen and I were thinking that we wanted to emphasize the 'good spiritual' part of the paranormal too, and not just the 'normal' paranormal stuff like ghosts going bump and crop cicles and ET's - anyway, at another site I do work for, we have little 'crown' icons that you can see in people's posts, that change color according to how many posts you have. I wanted to do something similar over here, but didnt want to use the crown. What sort of image sholdl we use/ A star? A moon? any suggestions?

I love this idea. I suggest maybe crosses for the spiritual aspect. Moons and stars are great though.

they are my spiritual mentors.. and Im not afraid to say that out loud anymore. they've taught me how I can orchestrate the miraculous... they are part of the spiritual nature of this site...

see this is hard.. cause there are as many paths to God as there are people and - I came from ghosthunting.. but at the same time, I am thinking I'd be happier if people realized, right off the bat, they were coming to a spiritual center now.

any ideas?

I like the stars and moon idea....I think crosses may off-put those who aren't Christian. Tolerance of all paths would be preferred on my end.

Before opening up this thread, and just reading the title. My first thought was stars. But liking all ideas so far, although agree with the cross. It might be off-putting to those who are not of the religious/christian nature if you KWIM.

even though Im raised a Christian, I feel like crosses are not a good idea. I believe the resurrection story/theory excludes others who do not agree or who were raised in other religions. If we were going to have a cross, then we'd have to include signs from all the other major world religion.. easier to just go with earth/nature/universal symbols. Just my two cents.

the cross would invite Christians.. not that there's anything particularly wrong with that - In some ways, I still consider myself a Christian in that I attempt to try to maintain the Christ Consciousness....except that the Fundmentalists will ultimately arrive and insist feverishly that we're all going to you know where. I dont see that as condusive to the spiritual growth of our group...??

I thik about little sunbursts and tiny stars-the cosmos...celestial bodies...of course tiny crystal balls would be cool when lit up -inside of them you could have a cross or a star or whatever else has been suggested..just my ideas [tee-hee]then of course my fav. symbloic item is the amish star..it has so many points.
